Asian Flower Beetle
This is the third and final piece in my Beetle series, where I drew inspiration from the Asian Flower Beetle with its stunning array of iridescent pinks and blues. Colour was added by needle felting wool fibres onto a dark 100% wool felt background. Texture and detail was created using a combination of free machine and hand embroidery. The artwork has been float mounted and framed and is ready to hang.
