Chilean Ground Beetle
Beetle number two is a ‘one-of-a-kind’ representation of the iridescent greens transitioning to pink and lilacs seen on a Chilean Ground Beetle. Using needle-felted coloured wool fibres on a dark 100% wool felt background, I have incorporated textures and intricate details through a blend of free machine and hand embroidery techniques. This art piece is float-mounted and framed, making it ready to hang and appreciate in any space.
