Floral Doodle
I created a series of works called “Doodles”, consisting of textile pieces, in which I showcase a blend of needle felting and free machine embroidery. This is the first of three pieces based on floral shapes. The background is ivory coloured, 100% wool felt to which I have needle-felted yellow wool fibres. To finish I have added black, free machine embroidered doodles, giving the piece a graphic feel. This has been float mounted and framed ready to hang.
